To reach Ahaspokuna by bus, start by traveling to Pambahinna junction, which can be accessed from major cities like Colombo, Kandy, and Ella via long-distance buses bound for Badulla, Bandarawela, or Haputale. Upon arriving at Pambahinna junction, you will need to arrange a local tuk-tuk or taxi to transport you to the pre-designated pick-up point for Ahaspokuna. This pick-up point is located on a less-frequented road, so obtaining precise directions from the camp in advance is essential. From the pick-up point, a 20-minute trek through the wilderness will lead you to Ahaspokuna. Please note that it is mandatory to pre-arrange your meeting time with our staff, as walking to the camp independently is not permitted for safety reasons.

Driving to Ahaspokuna involves reaching Pambahinna junction, which is approximately 2 to 3 hours from Nuwara Eliya or Hatton in the upper mountains, and around 3 to 4 hours from Colombo or Kandy. From Pambahinna junction, follow the directions provided by Ahaspokuna to get to the pre-designated pick-up point located on a less-frequented road. It is important to coordinate your arrival time and place with the camp beforehand, as mobile signals may be weak. Once you arrive at the pick-up point, a 20-minute trek through the wilderness will lead you to Ahaspokuna.
